MVP
Most Valuable Player (MVP) bosses are powerful named monsters that drop rare items, grant bonus EXP, and leave behind a tombstone when killed.
Rates
| Stat | Rate |
|---|---|
| MVP EXP | x5 |
| MVP drops | x2.5 |
| MVP card drops | x1 |
All MVP exclusive drops (items from the MVP drop table) are delivered directly into the winner's inventory. All three possible exclusive drops are always attempted.
Loot Priority & MVP Crown
On NexusRO, loot priority and the MVP crown always go to the same player: the one who dealt the most damage to the MVP.
Eligibility
To be eligible at the moment of the kill, a player must:
- Be alive
- Be on the same map
- Be within 20 cells of the MVP
If no eligible player is within 20 cells when the MVP dies, the range restriction is lifted and the highest-damage dealer on the map wins instead.
What is not considered
| Factor | Considered? |
|---|---|
| Damage tanked from the MVP | No |
| First-hit bonus | No |
| Damage dealt by slaves / homunculus | Yes, counted toward the owning player |
Damage Reset on Full Heal
If the MVP is healed back to full HP at any point during the fight, all accumulated damage logs are wiped. The competition starts from zero, whoever deals the most damage once the MVP is full HP wins.
Tombstone
When an MVP is killed, a tombstone appears on the spot where it died, for both spawnable and scripted MVPs. MVPs summoned via Bloody Branch do not leave a tombstone. Clicking the tombstone opens a message window showing:
- The MVP's name
- Time of death (server time, UTC+0)
- Current server time
- The winner's name and how long the fight lasted
- A full damage repartition. Every participant's share, sorted from highest to lowest
The winner's entry is highlighted in red. The top damage dealer is highlighted in purple if they are not the winner.
The damage repartition only reflects damage dealt since the last time the MVP was full HP.
The tombstone remains on the map until the MVP respawns.
Respawn
MVP respawn times are the standard official timers defined per monster.
The full list of MVPs available on NexusRO, including their spawn locations and respawn timers, can be found on the website monster database.
Rules
Anyone can participate, including attempting to out-damage and steal the kill, as long as the rules below are respected.
- Any MVP encounters are Free For All.
- Blocking NPCs or portals is not allowed.
- Blocking access to the map after entering a warp is not allowed.
- Griefing (mob dragging, obstruction, disruption) with the intent to kill the MVP is allowed if the MVP is actively present on the map.
- Intentionally making the MVP teleport is prohibited.
- Blocking an MVP tombstone using characters, pets, or homunculus is prohibited.
