Bonus EXP Maps

Every two days the server picks one map per pool and gives it a +50% EXP bonus. There are 20 pools, so 20 bonus maps are active at the same time, from newbie fields to level 80 dungeons. Simply enter an active map to receive the buff automatically.

The next rotation is pre-rolled in advance, so you can already see which maps will be bonus after the next switch.

How It Works

  1. The server rolls new bonus maps on every even calendar day at midnight. When a month ends on an odd day, the cycle extends by one day (30 → 31 → 1).
  2. One map is picked at random in each of the 20 pools. At the same time, the following rotation is also picked and stored.
  3. Every player who enters a chosen map receives a +50% EXP buff (icon: Map Pool Exp).
  4. The buff is removed automatically when you leave the map, and it is restored if you log in or respawn on it.
  5. The buff stacks additively with the other EXP bonuses (weekend bonus, EXP manuals). See EXP Formulas.

Info

The map bonus applies to monster EXP only. Quest EXP is never boosted: quests always give exactly their quest rate.

Pools

The pools are level bands. Every map with a meaningful monster population is ranked by the average level of the monsters that live on it, then the list is cut into 20 consecutive pools:

  • Pool 1 holds the easiest maps (average monster level ~2-5), Pool 20 the hardest (~71-88).
  • A pool never contains a map easier than one in the pool before it, so every level range always has one active bonus map.
  • 272 maps are in the rotation. Only the job-change test maps are left out, because players cannot enter them outside their quest.

Where to See Current and Next Maps

  • Exp Bonus Info NPC, prontera 167/201: shows the current bonus map of every pool, then the next rotation on the following page. The Weekend EXP option also shows live server time and when the weekend bonus starts or ends.
  • Map Pool on the website: live list of current maps, next rotation, and the full pool.
  • A server-wide announcement lists all 20 maps each time the pools rotate.
  • @rates shows +50% Map Boost while you stand on a bonus map.
