How cooldowns work

Each instance has a cooldown that prevents you from entering the same instance back-to-back. The cooldown is per character and starts the moment you first enter a run.

For the Endless Tower, the cooldown is 7 days from the moment you entered. If you entered on Wednesday at 15:00, you can enter again the following Wednesday at 15:00.

Check the wiki page of the instance you are interested in for its specific cooldown duration.

How bound items work

To prevent a single character from carrying the same gear into the same instance multiple times via party-hopping or alt-tricking, NexusRo uses an instance lock system.

Account binding

Locked items are account bound. While an item is locked, the following restrictions apply:

  • Allowed: placing the item in your personal storage
  • Not allowed: trading, dropping, mailing, or placing the item in guild storage

What gets locked

When you enter an instance and equip a piece of gear, that exact item is locked to that run. The lock follows the item, not the character.

How a locked item looks

A locked item is displayed in yellow in your inventory. When the lock is released, the yellow tint disappears and the item returns to its normal display.

If you check a locked item with the @locked command, you will see:

  • Which instance the item is locked to
  • Where the item currently is (equipped, inventory, or cart)
  • When the lock will be released

Entering with locked gear

If you try to enter an instance while carrying gear that is locked to a previous run of the same instance, the entry NPC will block you and list the offending items. To enter, you must remove those items from your equipment, inventory or storage.

If your gear is locked to a different instance, you can enter normally. Locks are per-instance.

Re-entering the same run

If you leave the instance map (death, logout, manual warp) but your party still has the instance generated, you can come back. Your locked items remain locked to that same run, and you can re-equip them inside without restriction.

When locks are released

Locks expire when your instance cooldown expires. This matches the cooldown on re-entry, so your gear unlocks exactly when you are allowed to run again.

Player commands

  • @locked lists every locked item you currently have, grouped by instance. Storage items are not shown.
