Pet System
Pets are loyal companions you can tame from monsters in the wild. Once tamed, a pet will follow you and provide passive bonuses when loyal.

How to Get a Pet
- Obtain the taming item for the pet you want to catch.
- Use the taming item on the target monster in the wild.
- A taming attempt is made, success is based on the monster's capture rate.
- If successful, you receive a Pet Egg.
- Double-click the egg in your inventory to hatch your new pet.
There is also a second way to obtain pets:
- Via Hocus-Pocus: A Sage or Scholar can use the Hocus-Pocus skill, which randomly triggers one of many effects. One of those effects attempts to tame the monster you are targeting, bypassing the normal taming item requirement and giving you that monster's pet egg on success. See the Hocus-Pocus section below for full details.
The taming chance is not fixed. It scales dynamically based on how much HP the monster has remaining when you use the taming item.
Actual chance = Base rate + ( 100 - monster current HP% ) * Base rate / 100
- At full HP, the chance equals the base rate exactly.
- At 1% HP, the chance is nearly doubled.
- Each pet's base rate is listed as a percentage in its entry below.
Example
Poring has a base rate of 20%. If its HP is at 50%, the actual chance becomes:
20 + (100 - 50) * 20 / 100 = 20 + 10 = 30%
Intimacy System
Your pet's intimacy determines its mood and whether it grants its loyalty bonus.

- Intimacy increases when you feed your pet on time.
- Intimacy decreases if you neglect feeding or if you die.
- The Loyal bonus only activates at 910+ intimacy.
- If intimacy reaches 0, the pet egg is permanently deleted from your inventory.
Feeding Your Pet
- Open the Pet window (
Alt+J) to check your pet's hunger status.
- Feed your pet when it is Hungry or Neutral for the best intimacy gain.
- Overfeeding (feeding when already Full) will decrease intimacy.
Pet Equipment
Most pets can wear a pet accessory that enhances their appearance.
Equip it via the Pet window after reaching a certain intimacy level.
Auto-Feed
All pets support Auto-Feed, which automatically feeds the pet from your inventory when it gets hungry. Enable it in the Pet window.
@petinfo Command
The @petinfo command lets you quickly look up details about your active pet or any pet in the game, straight from the chat window.

Hocus-Pocus is a Sage / Scholar skill that randomly triggers one of many effects each cast. One of those effects is Taming Monster, which attempts to catch the monster you are targeting with no taming item required.

How It Works It might change in the future.
Every cast randomly picks one effect from a large pool. The Taming Monster effect's chance scales with skill level:

What Happens When It Triggers
The skill targets the monster in front of you and applies the normal capture roll using that monster's base capture rate. If successful, the monster is removed from the map and you receive its specific pet egg, the same egg you would get from taming it normally. The taming item check is bypassed entirely, but you still need to be targeting a valid tameable monster.
Tips
- Higher level = better odds. Max level (Lv 10) gives the best chance.
- Stock up on Yellow Gemstones [715]. Each cast costs 2, so farming eggs this way can get expensive fast.
- You must be targeting the specific monster you want. The egg you receive matches the monster targeted.
- This is the only way to obtain a pet without using a taming item.
