Hateffect Imprinting

The Hateffect Imprinting NPC lets you extract the visual particle effect from a hateffect costume and permanently embed it onto any item you currently have equipped. The visual appears on the target item without replacing its stats, refine level, or cards.

The source costume is destroyed

The hateffect costume used as the source is permanently removed from your inventory during the process. This cannot be undone.

Ticket Required

Each imprinting costs 1x Imprinting Ticket (ID: 59001). Make sure you have one in your inventory before starting.

NPC Location

The Hateffect Imprinting NPC is located in Prontera at coordinates 174, 178.

Requirements

  • You must have exactly one hateffect costume (ID 3 000 000 range) in your inventory. Having more than one unequipped copy will block the process.
  • The source costume must not already have a hateffect imprinted on it. A costume that was previously used as a target and received an effect cannot be consumed as a source.
  • You must have 1x Imprinting Ticket (ID: 59001) in your inventory.
  • The target item must be equipped on your character.
  • The target item must not already have a hateffect applied to it. Each item can only carry one effect.

Supported Source Costumes

Only costumes within the 3 000 000 ID range are accepted as a source. These are hateffect costumes, each mapped to a specific visual particle effect. Standard costumes (2M range) are not eligible.

A costume in the 3M range that was previously imprinted with an effect via this service is no longer eligible as a source. It is considered a modified item and will be rejected by the NPC.

Target Slots

You can imprint onto any equipped item, including:

  • Upper, Middle, and Lower Head
  • Armor, Garment, Shoes
  • Weapon, Shield
  • Accessory Left and Right
  • All four Costume slots (Top, Mid, Low, Garment)

The effect displays visually on the chosen item regardless of what type of equipment it is.

What Happens

  1. The NPC scans your inventory for an eligible hateffect costume.
  2. You choose which equipped item will receive the effect.
  3. A summary screen shows the source costume, the ticket to be consumed, and the target item.
  4. After confirmation:
    • The source costume is removed from your inventory.
    • The Imprinting Ticket (ID: 59001) is consumed.
    • The target item receives the hateffect as a visual property. It remains equipped with all its original stats intact.

Inspecting an Imprinted Item

When you inspect the details of an item that has been imprinted, its information panel will display the name of the hateffect costume that was consumed during the process. This serves as a permanent record of which source costume was used to create the effect on that item.

How to Use

  1. Put exactly one hateffect costume (ID 3 000 000 range) in your inventory. It must be clean, with no effect already applied to it.
  2. Equip the item you want the effect to appear on.
  3. Have 1x Imprinting Ticket (ID: 59001) in your inventory.
  4. Talk to the Hateffect Imprinting NPC in Prontera (174, 178).
  5. Read the introduction and press Next.
  6. Select the equipped item that will receive the effect.
  7. Review the transfer summary carefully.
  8. Select "Yes, imprint the effect" to confirm.

The effect is active immediately after the process completes. No re-equip is needed.

Limitations

  • An item can only hold one hateffect at a time. You cannot stack multiple effects on the same piece of equipment.
  • Having more than one unequipped hateffect costume in your inventory will prevent the process from starting. Reduce to exactly one before proceeding.
  • A hateffect costume that has itself received an imprinted effect cannot be used as a source.
  • The effect is tied to the item. If the item is traded or dropped, the effect goes with it.
