Hat to Costume Converter
The Costume Artisan is an NPC that allows players to permanently transform any equipped headgear into its purely cosmetic costume counterpart. This is ideal for players who want to keep the look of a favourite hat without occupying an equipment slot or risking loss of visual identity on re-gears.
Irreversible Conversion
This process is permanent and cannot be undone. Refine levels and socketed cards are destroyed in the process. Make sure you truly want to sacrifice the functional item before proceeding.

Requirements and Restrictions
Before a conversion can take place, the following conditions must all be met:
- The headgear must be equipped (Upper, Middle, or Lower slot).
- You must have at least 1,000,000 Zeny in your inventory.
- A costume version of the headgear must exist in the database. If none exists, the NPC will inform you and suggest contacting staff.
What is Lost

| Statistics | All bonuses and stats from the original headgear are removed |
The resulting costume item is unrefined, unslotted, and grants no statistics, as costume equipment exists purely for visual purposes.
Slot Priority
When a headgear covers multiple slots simultaneously, the conversion uses the following priority to determine which costume slot it maps to:
Upper > Middle > Lower
For example, a mid+low hat is treated as a Middle Head costume.
How to Use
- Equip the headgear you want to convert.
- Talk to the Costume Artisan in Prontera (178, 174).
- Select "Let's do it!" when prompted.
- Choose which equipped headgear to convert from the list.
- Review the confirmation screen, which shows any refine or cards that will be lost.
- Select "Confirm!" to complete the conversion.
The costume is placed directly into your inventory after the conversion.
